Warranty & Repairs

Every Cloakla LED light therapy face mask is covered by a 12-month limited warranty from the date of original purchase, against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty reflects the engineering standard we hold ourselves to as an FDA-cleared Class II medical device manufacturer.

What's covered

Under the 12-month limited warranty, Cloakla will repair or replace (at our discretion) any C16 or K11 device that exhibits:

  • LED failure — any LED that ceases to emit light during the warranty period
  • Wireless controller / battery defects — failure to hold charge to specification
  • USB-C charging port failures from normal use
  • Silicone material defects — tearing or splitting at seams not caused by user misuse
  • Wavelength accuracy drift — LEDs emitting outside the ±5 nm tolerance
  • Manufacturing defects in any component

What's NOT covered

  • Cosmetic damage from normal use (scratches, scuffs, hairline marks)
  • Water damage beyond the device's IPX rating (don't submerge the C16 / K11)
  • Damage from drops, impacts, or pets
  • Damage from unauthorized modification, repair, or disassembly
  • Use with non-Cloakla charging cables or adapters
  • Loss or theft
  • Eye protection pads (consumable; replacements available)
  • Devices purchased from unauthorized resellers (only direct cloakla.com purchases and authorized retailers are covered)

How to file a warranty claim

  1. Email info@cloakla.com with the subject "Warranty Claim"
  2. Include:
    • Your order number or proof of purchase
    • The serial number of your device (located on the wireless controller)
    • A description of the defect
    • 2–3 photos clearly showing the issue
    • A short video, if the defect is intermittent (charging, LED flicker, etc.)
  3. Our warranty team will respond within 2 business days with next steps.
  4. If your claim is approved, we'll send a prepaid return label and ship a replacement within 5 business days of receiving the defective unit.

Repair vs replace

For most LED, battery, and silicone defects, we ship a replacement unit rather than repair — it's faster for you and ensures the replacement meets full QC standards. For component-level defects (e.g., a single broken eye pad mount), we may offer a free replacement part instead.

Warranty extension on the K11

K11 Face + Neck purchases include an automatic warranty extension to 18 months at no extra cost. The neck enhancer panel is also covered under the same terms.

FSA / HSA reimbursement

Cloakla LED masks are FDA-cleared Class II medical devices, eligible for FSA / HSA reimbursement in most US plans. We can provide a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) on request — email info@cloakla.com with your order number.
